  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ​½ cup melted butter
  • ​¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 cup unsweetened flaky coconut
  • ​½ tsp ground ginger
  • ​1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ¾ cup brown packed sugar


  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • ​2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt​
  • ​1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup butter​
  • ​½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F. Dust a pan with flour and butter. Keep it aside.
  • Mix all the streusel ingredients and stir them to make a smooth mixture. Keep it in the refrigerator until its all set to use.
  • Now to prepare the cake, add flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl. Pour brown sugar and butter and make a creamy mixture out of it by whisking it with a mixer.
  • ​Next, add the eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Blend the mixture until it gets totally combined.
  • To the wet ingredients, add the dry ones and mix them well. Shift the batter into the pan which you dusted with flour and butter.

  • 2 tsp grounded cinnamon
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar​
  • 1 tbsp. flour for coating the pan​
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ​1 cup and 2 tbsp. granules sugar
  • ​1 egg
  • ​1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ​¾ cup buttermilk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract​
  • 10 tbsp. softened unsalted butter
  • Dust the pan with flour and butter. Remove the excess flour. Preheat the oven at 350 degrees.
  • Add salt, flour and sugar and mix them together in a bowl. Cut the butter in small pieces. Whisk the mixture until it resembles crumbs. Keep aside 1 cup of flour mixture.
  • ​In the remaining flour, add baking powder and baking soda. Pour buttermilk, vanilla and egg and mix it with a mixer.
